Contact Us

The SoLa Corps is a group of parents, students, artists, and supporters dedicated to helping South Louisiana Center for the Arts by actively participating in fundraisers, sponsorship drives, and projects that promote awareness and expand support of SoLa and the programs it offers.

Volunteer Your Time

SoLa Corps, the group that fuels SoLa Center for the Arts, is looking for a few good volunteers! The folks that volunteer their time and energy through SoLa Corps are responsible for the success of many events that SoLa Center for the Arts puts on or participates in each year!

Volunteers have opportunities such as event staffing, participating in SoLa fundraisers, assisting with drama productions and much more!

SoLa Corps meets bi-monthly on the first Thursday of the month from 6pm to 7pm. Meetings are held at SoLa Center for the Arts on Park Avenue in Houma. Anyone interested in volunteering is welcome to attend!

If you’d like to join us, please sign up for our SoLa Corps Yahoo Group so that you can be notified via email of all the upcoming volunteer opportunities!

Register for an Upcoming Event

The SoLa Corps will be participating in the Lady Bug Ball to help raise funds for other nonprofits in our area.  The event will take place on April 19 at the Southdown Plantation.  We will be doing spin art activities for the children for $1 each.  All proceeds go to the Lady Bug Ball.  This is an excellent way for our nonprofit to help other nonprofits in the area!  For more information about how you can participate please call Rachel Billiot, our volunteer coordinator, at 985-688-4798!

Make a Donation

If you would like to make a donation to SoLa, please contact the office at 985-876-2222.  Remember, charitable contributions are tax deductible.
